About
FINJA FLORIAN
I come from a family with no connection to horses – yet I always wanted to ride. In 2018, my mom finally gave in and bought our first horse, Boris. I could barely ride, but I was hooked, always thinking: “This can be done better.”
In 2020, Bang Bang Pistol – “Werner” – entered my life. He took me to my first NRHA shows, buckles, trophies, and finals, and showed me how much I love this sport.
After graduating in 2021, I joined LQH as a three-month intern – at least, that’s what my mom expected. Instead, I stayed and completed my apprenticeship as a professional horse trainer, Western specialization. I learned from many trainers and horses, first as a groom, later starting 2YOs and showing. My first major shows, titles, and championship wins followed, and I knew: I want to train horses, no matter how long the road.
In 2022, I became NRHA Year-End Champion Youth -18. More finals and podium finishes came in 2023 and 2024 at shows like the ELEMENTA NRHA European Derby, Breeders Futurity & NRHA Belgium Futurity.
Today, I’m proud to be part of Lucie’s team, grateful for her trust – and forever thankful to my mom for making this possible.
My training philosophy: Every horse gets the time it needs – step by step, with no shortcuts. Groundwork is the foundation. No one-size-fits-all program; each horse is unique and honest. I want them to feel it’s their choice, not forced. Starting young horses is risky but deeply rewarding – there’s nothing better than watching them grow, learn, and gain confidence from day one.
